# How to update

Step by step documentation how to properly update your banners resource

### Make a Backup

**Before doing anything**, create a backup of your old banners resource.

* Go to your `resources` folder.
* Find these folders:
  * `[banners]`
  * `rcore_banners`
  * `rcore_banners_assets`
* Right-click → **Send to → Compressed (zipped) folder**.
* Name it something like `banners_backup.zip`.

### Delete the Old Banners

Delete the following folders from your `resources` folder:

* `[banners]`
* `rcore_banners`
* `rcore_banners_assets`

Make sure they're **really gone** before continuing.

### Download the Latest Version

Go to [CFX Portal](https://portal.cfx.re/assets/granted-assets?page=1\&sort=asset.updated_at\&direction=asc\&search=rcore_banners) and download the **latest version** of the banners resource. You'll get a `.zip` file - open it.

### Install the New Banners

Inside the ZIP, find the `[banners]` folder and drag and drop it into your `resources` folder.
